Thanks John for posting links to your pics. I have some H2s sitting in my garage now that im considering getting machined to fit and powdercoated black...for my Nitto 285/75s. I was a little concerned about backspacing etc., but your pics show that to not be a problem. Im like Mad1 in that I don't want the tires to stick out beyond the fenders like on so many other aftermarket wheels.

They won't stick out at all. Might be over your budget though.

I know someone who is considering selling his set of 5 PowerWagon rims w/ BFG 285s on them. Only about 6000 miles on the tires. They don't stick out at all..

H2's are nice but they do stick out (with 35's), flares are going on with that clear 3M stuff underneath to protect paint.

I would like to stay as close to stock when it comes to the rim/tire size just for fuel mileage. Not looking to lift the truck either as I already replaced the upper ball joints with Carli's uppers, new lowers, bilstein 5100's upgraded 2008 steering and Maxx links. I think its too late to do springs since the garage labor went up to $80 per hour and I need new tires and rims(stock chrome clad are banged up bad from plowing and hitting the side walk

Springs are easy to change, no need to pay %80/hour to have it done.

I used to run 18x9 weld evo's with 35" bfg's. I they had 6"+ BS and did not stick out and no rubbing

Dave did that affect your fuel mileage. My truck also has 3.73 gears so with that combo what would that do my gearing?

If you do go with a 35" tire you really won't need to re-gear.

I 'm going to be keeping my eye on this thread. I've came to the conclusion that im tired of my lift and my 35" tires. It looks mean as hell, but besides that I can't really see any more benefits to it.

I' m going to remove the lift. Put a leveling kit back on, run 18" wheels w/ anything less then a 35" tire(haven't decided what would be the best size yet). I'm going to need to find some new control arms while im at it. Anything else I should do while im down there? End links, springs?

Anyone have any pics of a leveled truck w/ 18's?

So will running 18's decrease or have no affect on fuel mileage. I sometimes tow a 21 foot Sailfish boat, so will the size affect the gear ratio enough to make a difference while towing?

The size of the tires makes a difference, not the wheels.

So the 18 inch rim with 265-70 tires won't have any effect? Won't the tires be bigger(18) because the rims are 18?

You need to go to the manufacturer's website and check out the specs of the different sizes compared to the 265's your truck came with.

Came across 2006 chrome clad aluminum rims on craigs list. They want $600 for them and say that they are brand new. What do you think about the price? too much???
