You really are missing it...
The pressure will not be the same...unless you want to drive faster. For any given speed in any given condition, there is a required amount of power to maintain that speed. If you make the hole bigger, more fuel will flow...but to maintain the needed power, it will have a shorter duration/pressure...( ie your foot will not be on the peddle as hard).
My truck has 2x its OEM rated power. If I drive the same before truck mods and after...It does not flow twice as much fuel now! Actually I have picked up some mileage over stock with everything I have done...again assuming that I drive the same.
I CAN however...flow 2x as much fuel now IF I WANT TO!

I really don't think any company that is making injectors is claiming they just "opened up" the existing holes. Don M has elaborated a little on his extensive testing with numerous designs to create an injector that exceeds oem efficiencies. This is certainly believable because the oem's do NOT optimize for efficiency but first to meet emissions standards, second to make just enough power to "one up" the competition this generation, and third to not break any significant hard parts within the warranty period. Efficiency is WAY down on their priority list.
