VIN locked bully dog....

I sold my BDTD to someone and when he went to install it... he says it said it was VIN locked.

The last time I used it... I returned my truck to stock. Anyone know how to deal with this ??

if you was running the 2.4 progam at anytime on your truck and adjusted the tire size with it and did not reset the tire size back to stock before removing it that it is still semi locked to your truck. call bullydog

It was the 2.4 but, it was a custom tune.. " 2.4 PL " not the current one on their site.

I did return the truck to stock but, doubt I returned the tire size. What a crock to have to do that. Returning to stock should mean just that.

Guess i'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks.

Yeah..... the "R" in the word truck in your quote of Chillibowl

You could have edited it with your giant monster red letters for correct grammar.

Gents, please do not quote profanity in your posts. You know the DTR's stance on that kind of stuff...

Thanks

not what what you're referring to. Since I've had my truck there's always been something to figure out or fix. You'll have that when you complete alter something and race it I suppose. I don't mind the challenge and the more I dig the more I learn about the 5.9 ! It's always ran great and as new as high hp is to these trucks... I don't think we've seen the half of what's to come as far as issues !

The BD issue is a minor one I'm sure. To bad Buddy doesn't come around much anymore... it'd be nice to hear what he could tell me about it.

Thanks for the comment though.

My bully dog did that too, went totally back to stock, and still vin locked. Bully dog would even show that it was unloaded.

You do have to return tire size to stock as well to completely unlock it. In the next version it will be included in the download like the PMT. So when you return the program to stock it also returns the tire size to stock.
