I think ATS has been advertising one for a while (for the Cummins) but has not released it yet. It seems like an awesome idea, but I THINK Ford made one on one of their motors and owners often replace it with a standard turbo.

My 6.0 had one it seemed to work well I know the 6.7 have them I thought it may be an easy switch. Benefits may not warrant the $$ spent.

Whatever happened to the Banks version that was talked about in an early Diesel Power Mag. The one where banks had the Red Dodge, Chevy, and Ford. Tried to find it on the Banks website, or info on it to no avail.

Yeah, a computer to control the turbo.

That turbo on the 6.7 has a ton of electronics on it. Speed sensor, position sensor, boost sensor, senor sensor. I'm sure you could almost bolt it on directly, but you have no way to control it.

Ford did use them on their 6.0s, but it is a VVT design (Variable Vane Turbo), where each vane moves. This design has dozens of moving parts and Ford had lots of trouble with these turbos. The Cummins unit is a VGT (variable geometry turbo) with a sliding nozzle design - only one moving part.

banks was on one of those Spike TV shows last year and they installed a VGT on a CTD with all of his other stuff. They installed the turbo and the computer to run it. Never heard anthing after that.
