VanAaken 3C Box

Many thanks to "Ted Jannetty" for his professional opinion and help on selecting a Box for my truck. After alot of reseach and e-mails I settled on a VAC3 for my truck. Awesome power and not going to kill anything on truck, that was what I was after. I just need more oomph!
Thanks again TED!

Need more info! I'm thinking about doing the same. Just one plug into the ecm? How much more giddy up do you have, especially in the lower rpms? Not enough power or just right? Worth the money? Thanks.

Your truck and mine are almost the same. So far so good. I like the way it hooks up. Power is there always. Have not towed with it yet. Per JRE gauges are not needed... at least not in my application.

Gauges are most definitely required, at least the EGT gauge. You can max out your EGTs in just a couple of seconds on the top level and also very quickly in mid level if floored. Your air box and straight pipe will help your EGTs but I still recommend you get gauges. better to be safe.

I love the low end throttle response with the CP3.2. It was well worth the money to me. I am driving and towing in the mid setting and just ordered a better exhaust to keep EGTs more in check.

They were originally talking about the CP3.1...which does not run hot. EGT gauge is still a good thing to have!

Sawboy, why did you choose it over the EZ? Just curious. Not looking for any major power increases yet, only 17000 miles. Thanks, John.

Adjustable in cab. can turn it off if slippery. Per "Mr. Jannetty" is it mapped to keep the EGT's in order. Defuels at higher RPM's.

Will this box work with the 2004.5 600, 48re. I am not that concerned with a BIG power gain, and am much more interested in improving milage, keeping EGTs down, and maybe a little more low-end grunt if I tow.
Is anyone makeing a box that deals with the specific injection features of the 600?
Thanks,
Mike

It's a good thing this box comes with an in cab switch. It was raining the other evening and truck now has way more power than it had before with the stock tire size.
I used to be able to spin em in 4th in the rain. When I upgraded tires that was gone.... even in 3rd it just picked up speed. Now with the 285's I can break em loose in 4 and 5th!

Yes it works on the 600. I've had it on about 3 weeks now. I'm pleased with it. It has considerable low end to get your load moving. I've been content to use just the mid level as I haven't done tranny or turbo upgrades yet. EGTs are fine. The net affect is that your truck feels like it weighs half as much as before you plugged it in. Nice.
