Hey I know most of guys arnt into aftermarket audio but im looking for info or better links to audio fourms.

Here's the deal.

I still have a factory regular CD unit on my 03. I want to go with a larger in-dash non-flip DVD/Nav unit that will fit into a 04-04 RB1 or 1.5DIN housing.

I search but could only pull up Double DIN units that are 4" tall. I need a 1.5DIN or 3" tall unit. I dont like how the flip out screens look and feel. The feel cheap and move wen you touch them. I want a solid flush mount unit w/o any cutting up my dash to fit a 4" double din.

Anything is possable and I know I could pay lots of $$$ to a stereo shop to make a double DIN work but I cant afford that.

Do I need to order a factory RB1 nav center faceplate or are both the same size.

I would be up for getting a factory RB1 but ive heard that they arnt as good as a new unit and if I'm already spending the $$$ I want something that doesnt use 4 year old technology. That and people are still selling these for $500+ It would be awesome if I could fit a Double Din 4" in there somehow cheap because the Cadillac Escalade touch screen nav is great. Yes the new dodge stuff is nice but touch screen is even better

Thats because that is a RB4 not an Rb1. Go on ebay some is selling them for 550 new in the box
