Upgrade Questions for horse power

Alright guys need some help on deciding on some new upgrades for my truck.

I have a around $1200 to spend

here are some of my options

1. TC and Valve body
or
2. Bigger turbo (which size)
or
3. Injectors
or
4. full tranny
or
5. a comination keeping the $1200 price limit in mind.
or
6. any other mods you can think of.

Thanks guys for all your input.

We'll you WON"T get a full tranny for anywhere near that.Maybe a torque convertor and valve body. Not sure if any left for labor.Maybe.Can't get injectors for that eaither.

I would put the 1200 towards the tranny. that will get you a converter and some of a valve body.

I don't know who I would go with. I am talking with DTT and Goerend Brothers about it. the price is more in the 1500-1600 range after shipping. so in reality if you not doing it yourself you will only get a converter which is probably not enough for the race box. I was told the 48re was good to about ~370hp with the coverter. then would go well above that with a valve body but then your shafts will come into play at some point. that point could proably be argued. I can say I get differing opinions from different places. the guys at goerend though TC and valve body would be more than suffiecient but stephen at DTT really would give not verbal agreement that that would be enough due to my tire size. they were more of the opinion that they would have to run the truck on the dyno to be sure.

you $1200 is just not going to touch a full tranny. that is about $3500.

any other mod is just goint to torch your tranny more IMO. I also feel the stock tranny leaves some of the power you already hvae on the table so that mod will give you strenght and power.

I tried to go that route. I was told that the valve body is the most important part. Do it before anything to raise pressure to hold the clutches better. I ultimately got the whole tranny minus the billet at one shot though. It is better to save and do it once!!!
