unusable power

I would like to get my truck down the quarter mile but egt's are, I think, going to be too high with a htb2 62/13ss ats manifold banks 6-gun pda set on #6 and stacked with smarty setting #2 no timing my egt's climb to 1300 degrees very fast which I have my limiter set at on my pda. Does anybody have any ideas on how to cool me down for 1/4 mile?

You dont, a 1/4 mile isnt holding your egts up for very long, which is what it takes to cause damage. I probably run 1500 or more at the end of the 1/4, over 100 passes so i think you will be ok.

Easy way would be some water/meth. More water than meth of course.

I wouldn't give it a second thought.

My '05 has maintained 1400* for 15 minutes at a time towing at speed in the hills, and 1/4 mile blasts with fueling gets up to 1600*

... been whipping the stock Holset like a rented mule!

I am ( on test runs of 1/4mile) running around 1475- 1500, not panic'd about that at all. I know guys with dmax's that hit 2000 at the end of the 1/4. One guy told me that he dosent dare look at his pyro during the race, cause it scares him,, but it just keeps on going.

At the end of a 1/4 mile it takes a second or two for my EGT needle to come off of the 1500* peg. No problems here.

the smarty adds dynamic timing vs. static timing. Dynamic timing is much better

Hence the name dynamic. From my understading it adjusts timing just like the factory ECM does so it's constantly changing and adjusting. The difference being is that the smarty adds x amount of timing above stock.
