Unhappy with the Smarty
I have the Smarty SR. P.O.D. that I put on my 06 a couple of weeks ago. I have now tried levels 3,5 and 7 and my mileage on all 3 levels has been between 14.8-15.6 mpg. I traded a Diablo Predator in for it that was getting an easy 17.2 (really ******* it) to 19.4 (normal hwy). The power on the Predator set on the 100 hp setting is far more than the Smarty on both levels 5 and 7 (timed 0-60 and 70-100 mph runs). I really like the smoothness of the Smarty and the additional options but the mpg difference is just too drastic. I went as far to change out my fuel filter again (last done 2k miles ago) just to be sure that it wasn't a fluke. Anyone else out there have a similar experiance or suggestions?

Revo or TNT? Running any rail pressure and what's the TM level set too? And do you have the timing set to 4 (Revo)? Additional timing should help in fuel economy and performance.

You need to be using Timing 2 for more timing or Timing 4 for fuel mileage timing. For rail pressure, use the stock setting. I wouldn't recommend anything more than stock RP unless you are at the track or on the dyno.

Like Spooler I saw a decrease in fuel economy with the RP up. And Timing 3 is retarding the timing for larger aftermarket injectors, which can have an effect on economy.

So you think that it would be best to run it on sw7 with just the default settings for the best mpg? I drive mostly hwy miles (75/25 hwy/city) and don't dog on it so im not worried about the tranny. I pull my trailers on sw3 or leave it stock, I tow heavy (23k# trailer weight). I will hopefully get the tranny work done by the end of the summer if this rain keeps up

Ok, I was misinformed about the way the settings are set up. I thought that it added more timing and rail pressure from least to most 1(least)4(most).

Try this setting. SW7, TM1(since you have a stock tranny or be careful and use TM2, Timing 2, RP=default. See how that works. If that dosen't work use Timing 4 (for the Revo) this is the highest timing(listen for timing rattle, If it is too bad go back to timing 2). Don't pull on that setting though. I set my timing=3 when I tow heavy. That is the lowest timing but still more than stock on the Revo tune. The thing about the Smarty is you have to play a little to figure out what your truck likes. It can be different than others with different mods. That's the beauty of a Smarty. Have fun playing...

Default is used like the old Smarty settings. If you use default for timing. The even number setting will have stock timing and the odd's will have Timing #2. Default for RP I think is actually stock. The only one I know for sure is like I stated is the timing.
