Twins and Mufflers
Am looking to add Twins to my truck and am curious if the added Turbo effects exhaust noise? I currently have a large Donaldson muffler in my 5" turbo back system. If I am to add a second Turbo the the exhaust path does that quiet the exhaust down?
I had the Silverline bullet muffler on this system and thought it was to load, and was the reason I repalced the bullet with Donaldson..
Think the twins might change the note so I could possible use the straight thru muffler now?

Yes and Yes.
I still consider a turbo a muffler (because it is) so yes 2 will make it quieter and smoother. The Donaldson may end up surpassing stock in holding the db down.

Yeah, you'll get it, you will be impressed! I seen a guy make 702 on fuel with those twins and some 90's... he had more, too, just needed some tuning...

714 out of my 62~475 twins, that's with stock sticks, stock CP3, stock fuel pump and JR set on SW2 for towing.
As far as exhaust noise, I have the 5" Flo Pro and their muffler, which is pretty much more like a resonator than a muffler, it is not that much louder than my factory exhaust when driving sensibly, when I get on it, then the noise level rises, but I can still hear someone talking to me in the cab . .

I like how it drives already... Am hoping to put in on some local rollers in Nov if at all possible.
Does not matter what it makes at this point as I like how it drives..!

I am with you on that one. Mine will smoke pretty good with an Htt 62/71/13ss. I am unsure if I want to send the HTT back and have the 71 turbine changed out to a 65 or just go with the stocker/S475 setup. My stocker is in a box and it only had 32,000 miles on it.
