Twins Help!! With Coolant OVERHEAT
I'll start with while making room for the bottom charger I removed the Heater core hard pipe and reshaped it. I put it back in and put about a gallon of coolant back in. My first test run I hit about 55psi and blew the overflow. Then I thought well I must of had a air pocket in the heater core. I also thought once it blew that the bubble would of evacuated. Also, I put a radiater cap on that will not blow off. I drove the truck a couple days and not problems. Today I hit about 60-70psi and boom Coolant all over the place and she got up to 230-240*. I could have a blown HG. Or do I still have a bubble PLEASE HELP

No, but I very rarely run my truck hard for this reason. I have read numerous threads about blowing freeze plugs, and a few about blowing soft plugs in the head and some toasting the motor, and some who every time they run hard havin coolant puke everywhere. I think its a huge issue and anyone that is pushing the ponies must have one of these kits. Thier are a few companies that offer these kits and they can save alot of damage and headaches, not to mention they are fare priced and easy to install. I know Lazar Smith has a Boe kit, Opie has a kit, and their is one more company that has one on the market but I cant remember the name.
Bottom line is get one, I have one of the above and am no longer worried about stomping it to the floor when needed.

Chris,
After our phone conver....
With the non blowable cap...if it did not squirt there...it must have shot out the side of the head?
Can you try to locate the leak a little better...the area at least?
