Twins???

Alright guys with twins, help me out.I've been looking at going to a larger single but I don't think I'm going to be happy with the down sides of a large single. Thanks for all the responses from everyone. It has been very helpful.

Now as far as twins go,I talked with Nathan(mpi) a few weeks ago and he recommended the GT42 for my needs(towing and play).Question I have is will my 62/12 work okay in this set-up.Nathan did mention that a 14 exhaust housing would help but I never asked if a moving up to a 71 wheel would be better. He was real busy that day and I didn't want to bother him with a 100 questions.
My main concerns right now are high drive pressures. How will going to twins help alleviate this.I don't understand how this works with twins.Any input on this will be great.Keep in mind I'm not looking for any crazy HP numbers, just a good fun all around driving set-up.

Twins 101...
Yes, your existing turbo will do fine as a top turbo. The 14cm EH was recommended because that will be the ticket to reducing drive pressures. (this is relative to the fuel you can push) If you go to twins, (or not) installing a 71 wheel in your existing turbo will have the effect of gaining more top end at the loss of low end and spooling time.
Going to twins alliviates high drive pressures by wastegating the top turbo relatively early (often between 20-25 psi) to drive the primary turbo, which can handle the increased exhaust flow with little difficulty.
Twins are the ticket for all around towing and play because it offers the best of both worlds... fast spoolup, ability to push a lot of air and keep egts and drive pressures low. You do have to tailor the twins for a certain HP range, it is just that range is much larger than achievable with a single.

If you are working with Nathan, take his advice!!

X2 on this!

I am running a 12cm on the top, but I have an external gate. It's set to start opening at a modest 10 - 12 psi. Up to the 600 to 650 mark the current set up I have is fantastic as a daily driver.
