I just finished my 400mi break in period on my MPI twins today. Like you I was very disappointed with my silver 62 even after every reasonable efficiency mod out there. I will let you know about top end when it stops raining this weekend. I was going to go with the stock/s400 kit, but couldn't find a stock turbo for sale w/i my time constraints, so I went with a BW 62 over a 475. So far the kit with flux 120s, hamilton 188 and bully dog crazy larry spools faster than the stock turbo with stock fuel and a tuner. Cruising, it runs higher boost starting at about 1800 rpm than the stock turbo stock fuel and a tuner. I haven't had it above 35 psi yet, that was about half throttle on an on ramp. I was always disappointed with the silver 62, and so far MPI's product is excellent!

Shout out to TiminVA and MPI for getting my truck running over the holiday season.

The MPI twins are incredible in every aspect. I finally fixed my gauges today and took it for a test drive for the first time. With the MPI 362/475, flux 120s, hamilton 188, bully dog, ported head and various other mods, I hit about 78 psi in 3rd 4th and 5th gear. I did not get on it in 6th because of the speed. I think it would have made more pressure with that much load on the engine. This setup spools faster than stock and when I shifted into 4th and floored it, the rear tires broke loose with a moderate amount of smoke, no where near as much as the Industrial turbo would have made. I am extremely happy with the work.

WOW, impressive! Thanks feedback. I'm really impressed that it spools faster than stock...and by that, you mean it both comes onto full boost quicker, but also that the boost onset is earlier? Or just the quicker boost production? As much as I don't want to spend the $$, I guess twins are the way to go.

Also, anyone have opinions on Crazy Carl's pipe kits? I sell performance car parts for a living so I can get aFe and borg warner cheap, making me think going with his kit plus a 2nd gen aFe manifold and a S475 (171702) would be under $2700 or if I wanted the S475 with the smaller turbine wheel and housing (1.10 AR vs. 1.32), 176806, for around $3k.

the boost onset is notably faster than stock. reaching 75-80 psi under full throttle takes about as long or maybe a little slower than the stock turbo with 30psi.

Can't go wrong with compounds. I pull a 14K fifth wheel trailer, started with the stocker/S475 and loved it. Changed to a 62/65/13 DPS and helped on the egt's and dropped the back pressure a lot. Zero smoke. Can't get egt's over 1200.
