turbo timers can they be done correctly on a 2004 cummins 600
Hey here it is I have a new 2004.5 3/4 ton 4x4 cummins 600 it has the chip system in the key aka pats. I want a turbo timer so I do not have to sit and wait for the turbo to cool off and in houston you dont want to walk off with it running. I put one on my buddies mr2 and liked it real well. The reason I ask the manual says putting part of the key near the column will screw it up and that is the only way it seems to be possible i know this is a beginner question but i haven't dealt much with new dodge in this capacity.Any other suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

i have a 03 w/ chip antitheft in key. i have an aftermarket alarm, remote start on it. The one with the screen that tells you it is running etc. It has a built in turbo cool down timer. Only around $300-400 bucks. With lots of extras, I can remotly turn on my heated seats, roll my windows down, etc.

thanx but i still have a couple of questions how do you get around the pats system when you remove the key from the iqnition wont it shut down? And how hard would be to install. Also have any dodge dealers had isssues with the installation of turbo timers? has anybody got one to work with a 2004.5 or one made in july of 2004 or august?

On the topic of Turbo Timers, I've got an ISSPRO TTM that I took off my old Ford I want to install, where are people getting the ignition and constant on wires on the 04.5?
Thanks in advance

These connections for timers are probably similar to the connections I need to make for my delayed engine shut down. I have the SPA EGT/Boost combo and it has programmable output circuits. I think I can set the gauge to shut down the engine when it reaches a certain temp. I just need to figure out what to connect to what else. And the time to do it...
