turbo spooling
hey, ive been around diesel performance for a little while now and im looking at upgrading my turbo. now i dont know much about them but i do know a little. what im wondering is does the compressor wheel affect how much lag a turbo has?
example: ii sb66 has specs of 66/74/14 now would a charger that has say a 68 or a 71/74/14 have relatively the same lag or would it be worse? also where abouts in the rpm band does the sb66 light? how much rpm difference would there be if any going to a larger compressor wheel?
im looking for a single charger for mainly daily driving and some 1/4 mile and hauling very little besides myself.
the mods im currently running are afe stage2, bladerunner, 4" magnaflow turbo back, tst, smarty, race tranny, 100(ish)hp sticks, fass, arson3. i have a dual cp3 kit in the works.
thanks for any information that is provided.

I would suggest calling HTT or II and asking what turbo would be best for your application (or planned completed truck). I see you have injectors & dual CP3's. You can probably put some serious huffer/s on there.
