I have seen video's of these trucks where the turbo is whining up just at idle. Can someone explain to me how that is done and if it can be done without replacing the turbo. I have already removed the silencer ring and have noticed a resonable change in sound. Basically i'm looking to have a really strong turbo sound.....any questions?

a better exhaust and downpipe will make the turbo louder. With my K&N intake, my turbo sounds like a loud vaccume just turned on when i step on it! Sounds really good,

I talked to a diesel tech who suggested a Volant Air intake. Called the company, they will have 2 versions available for the 6.7, one next month which is a new filter and then in feb they will have a ram air version. I'm very concerned about the K&N because of it pulling the warm air from around the engine. Everything i've read is that you want the coolest air possible. Any thoughts on this?

Billm2004, i want to modify the exhaust, but i want to go turbo back... and i don't see anyone on this site who has done that yet....
