Which Turbo for my application? Need Education!

I know this question gets asked a lot. I did a search and it seems a lot of people are happy with the HTT turbos. It also seems that a lot of people are doing some major drag racing and pulls. I am just looking to gain some better and quicker power. I do not plan on going to the drag strip much and no pulls. I just want to be able to play a little here and there. I have an Edge w/ Attitude, S&B intake, Goerend torque converter, TransGo Shift Kit,
and a 51" Donaldson muffler that replaced my stock muffler and cat. My EGTs are pretty good unless I use the #5 or #6 hot setting on the Edge. If I use these my EGTs skyrocket instantly. My plans are to add an intercooler, exhaust manifold, intake horn, and turbo. The only problem is that there are so many to choose from and I admit that I don't know enough about this stuff to make a good decision at this time. So, I am in the learning process. So, I am just asking for some pointers on what would be the best direction and why. Again, my main goal is to keep my EGTs in check and to be quicker off the line. I was looking at the line of BD Diesel products, but not sure if it is best. Oh, and I do tow every once in a while(Jeep on a 16' flatbed), but not a lot.

If I were wanting quicker spool up I'd go with a II 62/14 but you might want to look and the II SPS66 if you want all out power and better mid and top end. It takes a little bit more to spool but is a very driveable turbo.

I wouldn't mess with the exhaust manifold, intake horn, or intercooler... I'd put a 62mm turbo on it, and if that's not enough, put water injection on it

I would go with a HTT 62/71/13ss. That would be a nice setup for 500hp or so.

I'd say a 64/65-13ss or a 62/71-13ss, they are both capable of 500-550 and will keep your egts even cooler.

HTT 62/71/13 ss. My buddy BOSSHOGG just got one ad has a smarty/quad stack which is wicked. He runs the original beta 4.4 and it has virtually no smoke! So wierd. It clears instantly and pulls like and pitt bull on a leash. His egts went down almost 100 degrees when he flogs on it over the stocker. I've been unimpressed with most of the turbo swaps i've seen except the silver bullet which I thought was a good swap but that HTT 62/71/13 ss is the best of everything imho...my $.02...hope that s helps. Oh yeah its also a killer top turbo for a serious twin setup long term

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll continue doing my research. Been reading a lot about the HTT turbos lately. Hopefully I'll be making a decision soon. Thanks again.

Go with HTT. If you want stock like spool up, go with HTT 62/65/13ss (HTB2). 62/71/13ss is great too, but a little slower to spool but has a little more on top end and better drive pressure ratio than a 65 wheel. My 64/65/13ss is great but I do have a 6 speed. Tac

62-71-13ss on mine spools a good bit faster than the 14 housings. It cools like a 14 and spools like a 12 so you can't go wrong. I had the 62-65-12 and the 13 keeps mine about 180 degrees cooler. 1400ish
