Turbo/Injector Combo, Please Help??
I decided to go with Flux 1.9's and was wondering which turbo would fit the puzzle. The tranny is being taken care of now and it's time to take it a little further. What turbo do you folks think is a good fit. I will also be towing my 32' trailer about 4 times a year so there will be some towing involved. Our elevation here is about 2850'. I run a Smarty POD also to help with the heat...
Thanks for any ideas or opinions.

The boost doesn't come on as soon, maybe a 150-200 rpm later but when it hits its as fast to spool if not faster.Around town low rpm driving its not gonna give you alot but on the open road at speed its great.Your not going to have instant spool unless you go with a samller exhaust wheel, like a 62/65/13 but then your going to have too much fuel on the top end creating high drive pressures.I can't speak for how an auto will behave but I have learned to drive around the slight bit of lag with the NV and don't think twice about it.

I was told a SPS62 is the turbo to go with. I guess that's pretty much the same as a 62/71/13SS.
How would the 62/65/13SS like towing with a set of Flux 1.9's ya think??

Might get a little hot with a 62, if you will tow alot I would say 64/65-13ss or 62/71-13ss with stix. I am satisfied with towing with a 71 exhaust wheel, but some may not be.

I have a 64/65/13SS and Flux 1.6 lots of smoke until I'm above 10PSI, wich around town is kind of tough unless I drive it like I stole it. TNT/R is best, but you will need more mods for that.
I'm at the same elevation. I loved my 62 before but didn't have these sticks and could get it too hotwith stock stick and Diablo/TST stack. 64mm is way better on top with heat, but really suffers on the low end and lots of smoke with my auto this winter. I think I should have gone twins. I don't think it's possible with an auto and a single.

You are going to need the 64 to move enough air what have you done as far as a pump mod?? because that will give you high egts if it is not atomizing properly. I ran a 62 with 90hp injectors it was just not enough air. if it was me I would go with the 64/65/13 the 1.9s will spool it great.

Go with the 64/71/13ss if you are going to tow with it or go with a 62/71/13ss and get smaller sticks in the 1.5-1.6 range. Best option to go with is a twins setup MPI stocker/S400. I tow heavy with stock sticks and a 62/71/13ss and those sticks (I think) would get way too hot very quickly if the TC locked up around 45-50mph. I can control mine with my right foot if that does happen but I don't know how it would work with that big of sticks. Once she is rolling it will pull like crazy. What you loose down low you get up top ten fold. My truck would fall on it's face at 75 MPH towing heavy. Not anymore......LOL
Questions: What stall speed are you getting? What gears are you running? If you have 3.73's and big tires a single is going to get ugly with those sticks.
