Turbo going out again
Looks like my turbo is going out for the second time and I'm out of the time frame for warranty work. I don't really want to pay for a factory holset when I believe there are better and cheaper alternatives out there. What would be a good turbo to get? I don't plan on doing injectors or anything more than my xzilliraider. Thanks in advance.

The dealership called me and told me that dodge would split the cost with would be about $1200 for me to pay in addition to buying mopar fuel, air, and oil filters and an oil change along with the turbo. Which would bring the total cost up to around 1400 or so. If it isn't a whole lot more to do so I'd like a better aftermarket turbo. I know a couple of guys that are mechanics at a trucking terminal and would probably do the install for little or nothing.

do some research...
Figure out what price you are willing to pay and go from there... You could get a good used turbo upgrade for less than $1400. A new one will likely be a fair amount more.
options will be S300 based 62mm turbos, HT2B based turbos, (there are many derivitives from different companies out there for these 2 platforms)
or a garrett stage 2 3782r....
That is where I would start
