Tuning my Megacab 6 speed the right way
Alright, so i've been lurking a while and now its time to post up.
I've got a 2006 Megacab 6 speed, 5.9
I have basics right now, Volant, and MBRP.
Then i got into a small accident and insurance paid for me to put the Banks Techni-cooler Intercooler kit on it.
Been driving this way for almost 2 years and figured it was time for something more fun.
I DD the truck, so I don't want a race truck. But I do love the skinny pedal.
My thoughts originally were a Smarty POD, and then Gauges.
then I started looking at a PowermaxCR Digital guages and a Smarty
then I looked at Edge attitude with CTS for the gauges and a Smarty
I also have a Fass95 sitting in the box from my 04 before I sold it. (should fit with a straw right?) never saw a need to install this yet, figured now would be good of time as any.
I want the truck to pull well when I'm towing the 10k ish trailer.
But I also want it option to keep the foot out of it and get some decent mileage. (decent is all i really need)
Thoughts ?
Which of the 3 options would you consider most?
Another obvious option I'm overlooking?
Anything else I NEED to install if i'm looking at these options ?
Other than the inevitable clutch sometime...
Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated.

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Gauges first, what type is whatever you prefer. I would look at EFI since you have an 06, or a Smarty if you don't for some reason choose EFI.

I've read about the EFI, but I'm not sure I understand it.
From what I have read, I don't have the time or patience to buy and mess with a bunch of custom tunes?
Would the Edge CTS basicly replace normal gauges ? Do I have to buy a pyrometer? Or anything to connect it ?
Regular isspro analog gauges looks like $500+ right?

EFI is not difficult, data logging takes min. And a good tuner should have your tune perfected after 2-3 data logs, then you are done. It can seem a bit hard to grasp but it is really easy.
The Smarty is not a bad choice I ran one for 6 years and have nothing but good things to say about it, Marco, and Bob.
But EFI live is a different animal and box tuners really can't hold a candle to EFI. Trust me, I have my flame suit on and I know some will disagree but EFI is in a league of its own. I should know I have had a bunch of box tuners on my 06's.

You can run the CTS and just buy the expandable EGT probe, or you can go analogs.

So what 3 analog gauges should I get for a G56 truck ?
Thinking about either - EGT Pre Turbo, EGT Post Turbo, and Boost.
or EGT Pre Turbo, Boost and Fuel Pressure.
If FP, where is a good place to put this sender?

Pre turbo EGT, boost, FP.
You want it as close to the cp3 as possible, they make a bolt that replaces the banjo at the pump and has a fitting for the gauge. Check GDP or geno's.
