Does anyone know how to take off the mounting brackets for the chrome oem tubular side steps that come on 2007 quad cabs...There are some nuts that I can't figure out how to get to. I know it sounds pretty dumb but I can't figure out how to get behing the little metal panel to get the nuts out of there.

come on guys does anyone have any kind of info....i really don't want to mess with the dealership

Here is a link to the installation instructions for the side steps. There shouldn't be any nuts inside the rocker panel. The studs had rectangular backs on them that pull tight against the inside of the rocker panel. You should be able to just take the nuts off the studs and unbolt them.
