TST and stock turbo question
I am getting a new TST R49 and was wondering what the safe levels to run the box on with the stock turbo? Sorry for multiple threads. Just wanting some informed opinions from you that have run this setup. Thanks.

If I remember 4/4 is the max for a stock trans. I have never heard of the turbo giving out before a stock trans gives out. I think the main problem with the man trans trucks is the turbo bark is very hard on them. I have been told that the most important things to do are letting it cool down and changing the oil reg. and avoiding the turbo bark or reversing. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks! I can stand 4/4 until I get the twins or a better single! I would think 4/4 on the TST should be comparable to my Quad race that I am trading in should'nt it?

03, I can run 7x7 empty all day with the mods I have...I'm vented stock air box and stock turbo. With out sufficient fuel delivery, FASS or similar, and a tc and vb at least you will be slipping the tc above 5x5 for sure. twins or a big single will be useless until you get a tranny and fuel. ks

BE CAREFULL, I nuked a stock tranny in 4 months but I kinda have a heavy foot (read - sorry officer). At the minimum you should be looking into southbend clutch, and watch the pyro's. Have fun.

Thanks Tweeter! The Southbend FE is next on the list. I am already able to slip the stock clutch with the Quad. After the clutch comes the Wilbro pump, then the Phat Shaft 62 or a set of twins and then, and then, and then, and then,...........My Wife is a very understanding woman to say the least!

Hey Masonic, are those numbers on a totally stock 05 with just a TST? Do you have the regular fash in it or the twins flash? Thanks! Nice HP & TQ #'s. Poor stock turbo. I got a chance to see a Sled Puller 66 today. ME WANT!!! I will still prolly get the Phat Shaft 62 when the time comes.
