Tst ra49

Tst ra49
Bought a used TST RA49 from a member here on the site. Got the install done and it mostly appears to be working fine. About the only issue that I see is EGT readings that bounce around 80-100deg while cruising. The general range seems to be right, just more bouncing than what I would expect. Might look into a new probe someday.
What is people's general experience with the TSTs reliability? I have one a year or two ago and it gave me fits. I sent it in for repair and sold it shortly afterwards.
Fast forward a year or so and I am back to TST. I just like adjustability on the fly and a cool down timer. Mostly when people post things it is to complain about something, but what about others? Codes? issues? problems? What can I expect?
Thanks!

Have had TST on my 03 since new. Had trouble with first wiring harness and they sent me a new one, no trouble since. If I lugged it a little it would miss and through a crank shaft sensor code. Learned not to do that and no problems since and still going strong. Mine is original version not the RA49. I went with TST because I had their throttle plate on my 96 and it worked great.

Well on day 3 it threw a 0341 code, camshaft. I will double check the connection tonight. It also died once while at idle. Restarted and has been fine.
Cleared the code at autozone, and it set the 0341 code 5 minutes later. Obviously something is not right.
Thoughts? I am just concerned as this is my second tst and so far it is the only box/tuner that has given me any issues.
Part of me just wants to buy a new harness to be safe.
Also, my monitor changes settings every once in a while.. argh!

It was when my monitor was changing settings that I got the new harness and that solved the problem. I still get the code on occasion when I inadvertantly lug the engine but it has never created a problem other than an occasional code to be cleared. On mine it has to set the code 3 times to trip the check engine light. I got a reader and check occasionally and clear the codes if there are any.
