I was looking at the forums on TDR and a guy had a post with Dyno numbers form an EZ stacked with the TST. I guess my question is where can you plug both in and why would that be benificial....i don't know a whole lot about these boxes...obviously

The EZ hooks up all by itself to the fuel pressure port. It then sits in-line with the TST box between the ECM's MAP connector and the MAP sensor itself.

The TST box plugs into the MAP sensor (so the TST box sees actual boost numbers). The EZ then plugs into the TST's MAP connector (which would normally plug into the factory wiring harness), and the other connector from the EZ connects back to the factory wiring, like this:

MAP---TST---EZ---Harness/ECM

It's beneficial because the higher rail pressure delivers more fuel per unit of time that the injector is open, which means that the same amount of fuel is delivered sooner, keeping EGTs a little lower, and giving a little more power. The net effect is that you can turn down the TST (thereby decreasing duration) and achieve the same amount of power, only with reduced EGT's (because the combustion is happening sooner in the power stroke than it would be with just the TST box alone).

(And yes, those were my dyno numbers. 1/4-mile times coming soon )

still workin on 500
Yep - still working on that. It's been suggested that the TAG is a restriction, and removing that would increase those numbers. I don't see it that way - if I'm building boost right up to the turbo's wastegate (40psi), then I don't see how any restriction can be present.

Once I get a larger turbo, I can increase the TST settings, and I'm sure I won't have any problems whatsoever hitting (and exceeding) 500RWHP.

Tom488,

What kind of abuse have you been giving the DD turbo with the TST? I'm assuming it is their HX40 Jammer? Have you been driving it like you stole it or easy on, easy off the go pedal? Just curious, as other than not blowing quit enough air on the upper levels of the TST, they seem to be virtually indestructible. Your experiences?

I try not to snap the throttle closed, but sometimes do (usually when I realize I'm about to exceed the speed limit in an area known for speed traps). I've been driving it pretty hard, with 3/4 to full-throttle accelerations, several launches at 10-12psi, lighting up the duals here and there, etc.

Yes, it's their HX-40 turbo. I've been very happy with it, and if it holds out until I get a larger turbo on there, I'll be even happier
