What kind of milage gains if any, have you guys had with a ts mp8? also would it be a good safe stack with a predator? and if so what would be good settings to run them on?

First thing, do you have a rail pressure gauge?

Never used mine to improve mileage.Like already mentioned, get you a RP gauge if you get any pressure box.I would steer clear of running elevated RP for daily driving. This can lead to early injector failure.Lots of threads on here about the damage caused by running elevated RP

Okay, if you crank it up all the time sure, you'll have problems, but you'd be okay at the lower settings wouldn't you, as in only 'elevated' a little bit?
What would be the max rail pressure you'd reommend for daily driving?

(just wondering cuz I'm waiting for delivery of my X2)

I gave useful info.... Anything above stock is not recommended for daily driving. I have seen way too many injector failures from elevated RP. I personally run an MP-8 plus a Smarty TNT/R and I run with the MP-8 off and the smarty on stock RP for daily use just for this reason. Didn't mean the above as a bash just my $.02 worth.

Anyone stacking with their Smarty for better mileage?

I can see driving around at 100% not being good for it but if you run 20-50% just to try to improve mileage, I can't imagine it being that hard on it? Especially on the 03-04s that run lower rail pressure?

Well now that we have a few years of data from the change that took place between the 03-04 and the 04.5 and up, there is empirical evidence that supports the theory that the higher pressure that occurred in 04.5 shortens injector life. And this is just the stock pressures. For example, 03-04 idle pressure is about 5-5.5k. 04.5 and up is about 7k. The ramp map, if you will, has similar increases. Folks that regularly rebuild injectors, like Don M at F1 for instance, report seeing a much higher incidence of early wear and failure in the 04.5 sticks than the 03-04 sticks. And this with mostly stock pressures. So it stands to reason that increasing pressures even more is going to correspondingly shorten injector life regardless of how you slice it.

While Smarty does raise pressure, it does not go above maximum factory pressure levels the way an MP-8 or a Dr. P will. However, the increased pressure throughout the curve still has the erosion effect over time. It might be infinitesimal.. but nevertheless occurring.

I agree with Jetpilot on this one. I run mine on level 2 with the smarty and only use the puck when at the track. But even on level 2 with smarty I idle with 5k and cruising at 65 nets between 9.5-13k.

65mph I see 17.5kpsi on RP with the Smarty set to stock levels.Sure wish Marco could lower the cruise pressures on the 04.5's and newer!
