Truck wont build boost.
This is a intermittent problem Im having. I'll be driving down the road towing my trailer with my edge set on 3 watching the attitude monitor most of the time the truck will go up and down the hills with ease. It normally builds around 40lbs of boost. Now I hit the hills and one hill Ill go up and everything is fine Ill drive a few miles hit another hill and the truck builds about 24lbs and egts go above 1350, the truck feels very sluggish and down on power. I think it is electrical but just dont know where to start. Any thought would be appreciated.

There are a lot of variables. You need to let us know if you are on cruise or hitting the hills at the same speed and gear. Also set the Attitude to display back down and let us know if it is backing down. Are you getting any slip on the clutch?

No slip on the clutch the cruise is set at 67mph. I disabled the backdown on it and it still did it. I hit the hills in 6th gear. I've made this run before and never had any troubles like this. I called edge today and going to send the juice/attitude in to them for troubleshooting I just want to check everything out. Im going to unplug the box in the morning and run without it and see if it is still down on power, I just will not be able to have any guages. The hills Im talking about are not that major Ive been over alot steeper and with a heavier load than I have on now. I would just set the cruise and go.

what about if you just get on the truck everyday driving is it any different then. 24lbs sounds about right just pulling a grade unless you are all the way in it. Could be the turbo going south or the boost fooler not working properly. Very possible turbo is going south in you pull 40lbs of boost on a regular basis38lbs is what I heard the stock turbo was safe on. Heck my attitude monitor won't read over 35lbs.

The boost fooler sounds like a better solution to the problem. I figure if the turbo was going south it would have threw a code. I pulled Jellico mt. in tn. and it was pulling about 36lbs and at 1250 egt. Now it hits a hill and it is 24 lbs and 1350+ I let out and try again it just is not the same.

Guys...man oh man there are some misconceptions out there. The Edge BOOST FOOLS! Almost all external fueling boxs do...if it hooks to the MAP sensor...it FOOLS!
I would say turbo problems, intercooler problems, fuel filter or lift pump problems...
Take the Juice off....take a test drive and report back.

Check for bad intercooler boots. I know my truck is a 12 valve, but I had similar symptoms, and had an intercooler boot that got a hole in it from rubbing on innerfender lip. Just an idea.
Check stylin motors for new boots: good price, nice colors.

Its probably not an issue. I am fighting this same stupid thing right now.
This time of year a lot of stuff changes, especially on the 600 series trucks. They are totally different than the 03-04 235,250 and 205hp trucks.
Some of what may be happening is that during the 3rd injection even the truck opens the wastegate regardless of everything else. This allows it to blled off the excess heat easier and it will not make boost no matter what you do.
There are all sorts of things it could be.

Driving in stock today, no box so I cant watch the egts, acts the same as it did with the edge on 3, I was running in stock last night and I really cant tell if it is down on power because I have not ran it in stock for so long. I put a brand new fuel filter in before this trip and my fass is only 2 mo old dont think fuel is the problem it is boost.

Mine has been acting up a little bit lately as well. Sometimes normal, sometimes low boost, high egts. Quad, you think it's cold outside temps, diferent fuel, or something else?
