Out Back 4x4

now before everybody hops on me for not being able to do this just hold on and listen haha. ok i've tried to download it but have done nothing constructive with it. i'm positive that i've followed the directions but it still isn't working. please help people. i'm not computer illiterate by any means seeing as how i use one every day and have for a while. but just having trouble with this.

currently have 4.10 tune i bought it with. love it, great mileage (20-23 mpg), and tons of power. just want to keep on the ball with everybody else.

You are trying to download it from the website then to the Smarty? My first comment would be make sure you have the 7-Zip program installed on your comp, as well as the Smarty USB downloader file.

Do you have them?

well i believe i do. i went to the website for the 7-zip and did that. then downloaded the smarty usb. can't get the programs to unzip so i can upload them to my smarty

If you successfully installed the 7-zip, when you get the zip file you want you should be able to right click that file and see the 7-zip option, when you get in that menu you should see something along the lines of "extract here" or "extract to specified folder" You can make you a new folder on your desktop specifying its the revo tune (what i do for organization and ease of locating) and have it extracted to that folder. Once it extracts correctly it will become a .smt file, which is an upload bin, so make sure the .smt file is in your folder. If you have the USB loader installed, open it up. Go to File menu and browse for your file. Locate it and plug your Smarty into a USB port (high speed port if you have dual speed ports) and press SEND. Search for member Alpineram. He has a link in his sig that is very helpful on how to update your Smarty. One thing though, if you load the Revo you may not be able to go back to the 4.10. If you like the 4.10, I'd contact Bob Wagner and verify what I just told you. I could be wrong but if I'm correct, you'll wave by by to the 4.10 forever.

When I talked to him last night via PM I gave him some directions and from what I gather, he won't be missing the 4.10 too much.

As I told him, I can't believe that Mads doesn't have a better write up on their site to help people out. I for one am willing to say I had a helluva time figuring it out my first go 'round
