I let my brother in law try my triple dog in his dura, and now it's vin locked. Everytime I try to upload into my truck, it tells me there is a vin missmatch and shuts me down. I tried loading it back into his duramax, and going back to stock, twice. If I go all the way to the right in the menu in the bully dog, it shows the dura's vin #, but it says it's unloaded.

What am I doing wrong? I've done this many time before and never had any problems.

I don't know if there's a fix other than calling BD. I believe they can give you a code to unlock it. Do be careful though, if they tell you it will only work one time, believe them!

Their are a couple different ways to go about this, either way you will need to contact buddy kunz via pm on this site BUD KUNZ member name. Or contact bullydog texas branch and talk to andrew, they will fix you up. They will have to send you a vin rewrite file via email to download into triple dog to recover vin# or he can walk you through it while the triple dog is plugged into the truck.

Called and got the vin unlock code, worked great. But now it's locked onto my truck.

Same deal, you go all the way right on the top arrows, and it shows to be unloaded. Was gonna let my buddy use it in his new truck until he could get something for himself, but it's vin locked.

Same thing happened to me. I called BD and a rep walked me through abot a 2 hour process to "reprogram" my td. Maybe try calling tech support again. I got someone that was really knowledgable!
