thanks for the input. i was calling around about getting my V.B. done by real tranny builders. One company told me that 3rd gen v.b.'s have casting defects and need 2 be replaced. so its about 400 for the vb mods and 400 for a new core. Another local place said don’t do the vb until I get a new tc. so instead of spending lots of money that I don’t have right now I want to do it myself and slowly build it. I also think half of the fun is building it, even if it takes a few tries 2 get it right

For what it's worth I've had a BD VB and now 2 Suncoast VBs(because I'm picky, they were both perfect in their own way). The BD VB was a joke IMO compared to the 2 suncoasts(felt like it allowed slippage and that tranny didn't last 30K miles). I've also got a good friend w/ the Transgo shift kit(that was done right by a Suncoast shop) and I really like how his trucks shifts(just like the mild Suncoast VB). I personally like and stuck w/ the old style Suncoast Race VB, because it knocks the mud off the truck when it shifts! I guess my point is, if it's done right a transgo kit can be a tranny saver and a joy to drive.

How easy was the kit to install for you? How many times did you have to remove the pan before it was adjusted to your satisfaction?
Dont have stock turbo. And it literally took me all day to drop the valve body dissasemble it and put everything back together. Probally 7 hours. Shouldnt realistically take that long. Like bill said do it once and do it right. I have been reaking the benefits ever since. I have never adjusted anything other than the bands. I really didnt know there were any valve body adjustments that you could do for the 06's.
