Trans temp guage, tap where?

Heard mixed feelings on it, some say hot line to cooler, others say test port on the side of the tranny...
Not going to bother with the pan, since its after the fluid is much cooler...
Test port was said to be an average, but the high temp line will give the hotest to make sure it doesnt get too hot while towing.

Just wondering if I should get the diesel manor line($65), or the one at geno's that splices into the rubber line of the stock hose($10)

Just want to make sure I dont have any leaks to mess with...

Its not bad, you just need to know how to interpret the reading. This goes for no matter where you put it. The quick easy way is in the test port. To get quasi instantaneous readings put it in the out line to the cooler. The important thing is to understand what the gauge is trying to tell you.

I'll be putting mine in the test port because that's where the Commander calls for it.

Get the Diesel Manor hot line. Very easy install and Dodge used to sell them for earlier models. Shouldn't get much flack.
