You guys that are running the Trans-Go shift kit in your 48RE...where did you buy them and and how much are they going for? Signature truck has 25,000 miles on it now. I'm getting ready to service the tranny...figured I might as well install the shift kit while I have it apart. Thanks.

Call DTT and ask them how their kit differs from the Transgo. I believe they include a new Switch Valve. The Transgo kit has you grind the original. Not a big deal to do but any burr your leave on it after grinding can damage the valve body. Other than that, just do some searching here in both the performace section and the drivetrain section.

DTT can set them up however you want. Becareful with a trans-go as most companies won`t take a core back that has a trans-go as they aren`t rebuildable after.

I installed a trans-go in my tranny, before the built one, liked the way it shifted. Not as firm or as quick as the built. Just be sure you read and re- read the directions before, during and after. It won't be fun to take it apart again if you mess up!! Don't ask how i found out!! I ended up pinching a wire reinstalling, had a friend at the dealer, he gave me a spare valve body with wiring.
