Trans gauge...mech or elec?
So are the electric trans temp gauges good enough. Seems like it should be slightly less work to install. I'm guessing the factory has to have a probe somewhere to monitor temps for limp mode - so an electrical will just piggy back that signal. What do you guys think?
Also, what temps are "up there", "border line", and "the things is about to go into limp mode you idiot"?

I've got an isspro electric gauge and install was easy, you will want to use the included sensor for what ever gauge you get it is just a hole lot easier. just because the computer may use a different voltage for different temps than the gauge is supposed to use and may cause false readings. and on your trans temp question i would say 250 is the "you are cooking the fluid" temp . but i dont like to se the temp get above 200, the cooler you keep it the longer it will last.
