Tranny mods and an older trans
Hi all,
My truck just turned 127 thousand miles old the other day and I want to beef up the trans to handle some future mods...a turbo maybe and the hot code on my juice. I was considering doing a valve body, torque converter and flex plate but I was told that the increased pressures of the valve body could potentially do damage to my properly working but old trans. What should I do, just save for a new trans or do the above listed mods? thanks in advance

A new valve body can't hurt an older transmission. If your transmission has any weakness it would show already.
If it were me I wouldn't do the R+R on a tranny with that many miles to upgrade the TQ and flex plate only to have to do it again in a short time to do the overhaul later.
