Most I have seen have said they eliminated the axle wrap (hopping) they normally got when starting from a dead stop. I would hope that is what you are experiencing as well... Let us know what your truck is doing with a set of bars....

O.K.,.....I guess I will be your "guinea pig" here.
I have a set of "CalTracs" on my 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve and love them!
They are built by Calvert Racing in California. John Calvert (Owner and Drag Racer) designed and built them initially for race cars but now makes them for all Dodge CTD Pickups. I had BAD axle wrap and "hopping" when I left the line while drag racing and the "Caltracs" COMPLETELY ELIMINATED all of that from my truck. They are very reasonably priced, fairly easy to install and work as advertised! At the time I ordered mine I paid $349.00 (delivered to my door)
although they may be higher now. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good set of traction bars. They also dropped my E.T.'s.

Ok so the caltracs will be more restrictive if you ever drop your wheels off the pavement though. For a drag truck they would be great. Personally Im going to make some that are parrallel with the front of the rear driveshaft to eliminate bind and just have one set. After mulling it over in my mind I just cant see how the caltracs can be THAT big of an improvment over similar bars like the Lazer bars.

I think that each has their own pros/cons. The primary function of either one is to control axle wrap and both do it well. I think the big bars would be a hindrance offroad because they could catch on things and hang you up. I think I am going with the Caltracs because I like the fact they are compact and out of the way. I rarely go offroading so articulation is not a huge factor for me.
