Toyo M/T or M/T Baja Claws?
Hey guys, i'm running an 06 3500 with 2" coil spacers (revtek, I think). I already have the wheels, 20x10 Voodoo 406 wheels with a 4.5" backspacing. Which tires should/could I run?
1) 33x12.5R20 toyo m/ts or
2) 33x13.5R20 mickey thompson Baja Claw radials?
if anything, I think the claws would look because i love fat short tires, but are they too wide?

i had mickey baja claws on my previous truck...bias ply version though. they did upgrade the load capacities and they were the best performing tire i have ever run(i have used almost all swamper styles in the past)..not sure about your fitment, but a very good tire!!

2600lbs cannot be a load-E tire! No way, for that size. You read a typo, or something.
Anyway, one thing about the Claws is that they are LOUD. I know several guys running them on Jeeps and on the highway they will DEAFEN you.

Another to consider is the Mickey Thompson MTZ. I just put a set on my truck and I like them a lot. Squirrelly-er on the highway than the BFGs they replaced, but not anything too bad. I'm used to that anyway with my Jeep (when it was on the road).

The MT baja claws are very loud. I would go with toyo's. I generally don't care for directional tires. You can only rotate them front to back. Tend to wear pretty fast.

im running 35/13.50-20 mickey thompson mtzs on my 05 with a 2"leveling kit and there a load range E tire, ive got 16000 miles on them and there not wearing much at all, not getting choppy or anything but they do have a bit of noise, 35 12.50s clear no prob on factory wheels but the 13s did rub my fenders a bit with the offset 20s, but im a painter and worked in a collision center for 3 years until recently opening my own shop on the side. i trimmed my fenders below the body line and rolled them back in and painted them when i did my hood and they clear fine now even with the flares
hope this helps

I wore out a set of Toyo MT's in 40,000kms, they were properly inflated and regularly rotated 285 75R16's. I also witnessed a set of 315 75R16's do the same thing on a co-workers truck. We do alot of extended highway trips (80,000+ kms/year) and I think it's possible the longer trips had some bearing on how fast they wore, I've seen guys with them on daily drivers that seemed to wear a bit better.
They were a fantastic tire but I won't buy them again for my particular application, I got far better results from Cooper S/T's and my co-worker is going back to the Dick Cepek Fun Country II's, by far the best wearing tire either of us has tried to date.
Not bad mouthing anybody's choices, just stating the facts.
