Toyo 325/70-17 and H2's...to big?

I got my Toyo Open Countrys mounted to my H2's yesterday (they look sweet ) and the tire guy said he tried to put them on the truck, but they rubbed so bad it would tear the bumper off. I know they are a bit larger than the BFG 315/70-17's, but does this sound right? My truck is still the stock height. I figured they rub a little, but come on, rip the bumper off?

how wide are the rims? I put 35 bfgs on mine with a 10"wide rim and i could hardly turn the wheel with a 3" leveling kit. i went down to a 8.5 wide rim and i made it work

H2's are 8.5" wide. The tire measures 35"x13" mounted. I'm going to try and get one mounted at lunch and see for myself.

While at the shop I told the attendant they would probably rub a little, but to use his own judgement, and if they rubbed too much just to leave the stockers on the truck. I have a feeling the guy got lazy and didn't even try.

I have them

I have them on my truck, but I've got KORE suspension. They rub on the back of the fender a little when you’re turning and hit a bump. Not to bad at all. Not so sure about stock height.

Well, I mounted the drivers side front and it fits, but its close. It sure looks tough, though! I think I'll go ahead and mount them up and just take it easy for a couple weeks until I get my lift from Don Thuren.

I posted some pics of the clearances but they are still pending approval. I get them in this thread as soon as they show up. If you don't mind let me know what you think. Thanks!

toyo

Lift will help that out. I like these tires a lot, but seem to be wearing a little quicker then I thought they would. It may just be my driving habits though. I had a set of BFG 315's that only lasted 30k and there's people out there with 50k....So they say. The backs wore evenly and faster then the front.

I was going to go with the BFG 315's but I found these brand new (they still had all the stickers on them) on ebay for $150 each. I just couldn't pass that up.

I have a 2" lift coming from Don Thuren. Once that's on I figure I'll be golden.

Thanks HdPower.

Well I have them on the truck and they look really good. I think HdPower is right, they'll look even better once the truck is leveled out.

Believe it or not, rubbing is minimal. I'll get a few more pics of all four installed tomorrow.
