Nope, I spin them all the time and I'll get way more than 15k out of them(of course my tread is over 11" wide too). Maybe you should buy an E rated tire since that's what these trucks are designed to have in the first place. A D rated tire will run at warmer temps due to wall flex and it will wear faster due to heat. Tires are a wear item, and honestly I have fun with and I work out of my truck, so I won't hesitate to buy a new set every year, just out of boredom. I've had just about every tire mentioned here. BFG A/Ts, Nittos and Procomp M/Ts, my truck ate up. All being equal ON MY TRUCK Toyos are far superior. That said, I'm going to try a set of Cooper STT 35/12.50/20s next, I'll be able to report how they stand up to true abuse, not HWY miles soon.

I have over 90k miles on my Cooper S/T 265/70/17's... That included almost 50 strip runs and towing to 38k combined for half the mileage at least. They are wearing like Iron... the 235/80's wore out in 70k so I replaced them with Toyo O/C A/T 265 70 17's and they have been on for 25k...(I got the 235's 5K before the 265's) The toyos are on the front and they are wearing fine...only 4 to 5/32 gone. Our climate is colder so tires last longer...80+degree temps towing heavy at 70mph....tires last less than half as long. KS

I happen to work with BlueMule and have seen the tires first hand, they are shot..I have BFG AT 285-70-17's with 31K miles on them, and probably have 8-10K to go. My problem is I have a 3500lb camper that sits in the bed and I need a tire rated above 3200lbs. I was hoping to use TOYO E rated 285's @ 3700lbs per tire, but after seeing Bluemule's toyos I will not chance it. I bet with the camper loaded 30% of the time, you would be lucky to get 12000 miles out of them. Most D rated 285's are rated the same weight wise as the 265 E's.

My 285/75s are great so far. I only have 7k on them but they look new. I exclusively drive mountains. Someone said they don't do well offroad. I disagree. Will they do as well as the stock Michelins (45K)? Maybe not but I worry a heck of a lot less off pavement w/ my differentials 1" higher. This is worth quite a bit IMHO.
