Just don’t care for people blatantly pointing out the obvious to make someone look or feel dumb. If that was not your intention and I took it wrong, then I am sorry. If you take the “Lets get over that part” to harshly no worries, there are other kind and generous people here that are more than willing to help me. Thanks anyway for helping answer my question though. I do appreciate it.

Have you tried Smarty on #1 and does it make a difference? You have boost. You wouldn't have boost without fuel. Something is just not right somewhere. The fact that the Smarty changes it kinda indicates the stock program is wacky in your truck.

Ya, I left some info out on the original post. Truck has no problems with smarty. Its when the truck is STOCK and smarty not installed that it just doen'st tow to my expectations. It will only reach top of 1/2 mile hill at about 55mph. Midway up the hill with it floored, if I let off the throttle just a tad bit, truck pulls a little harder. Its like less is more. With the smarty, it is GREAT though. When stock, it slows down significantly.

I've towed heavier, farther and faster than most and you have it written in your signature...Tranny. Your direct clutches are getting worn and your TC may not be locking up and even if it is locking up it can't hold the power and torque of the smarty towing...running around empty with smarty and towing anything over 5000# is a whole different ball game....I've accellerated up hills towing my 48 foot trailer loaded with my 3disc and built auto... not at altitude but not at 35psi either...You need to get that tranny built...billet In, Int, Flex, TC and more and better clutches.
The stock tranny is better in 06's than earlier models but it is no where near where a built one will take you...what year is the powerjoke....they had multi disc converters back in 04 if I remember right.....plus they have more gears plus the Fords and Chevys tend to shift down early on hills where Dodges tend to sit there and suffer. Are you up against the rev limiter?
Running WOT throttle tends to cause defueling and TC unlock. Generally you have to back off a bit to keep things locked up.
The stock settings tend to downshift too early and then it just hits the rev limiter until you back off throttle and let trans lock again.
It is also entirely possible the direct clutches are slipping under a load. Thats a little harder to diagnose but it will cause things to just not work right under a load.

I wanted to see how it would pull stock. Sucked. lol. That is why. Truck runs awesome empty though, and when it is on stock. I just thought it would have more grunt STOCK when pulling that light of a load.

Why would the tranny slip on stock setting and not on level 5 with smarty? Also, yes I do realize I need a tranny built. Deff going with TC, VB, Flex, Billet Imput, and possibly interm. Goerend is comming next. When I hit hill at about 75mph, I am running about 2350rpm. So I'm not rev out. It just kind of falls on its face to about 55mph where it will down shift. But like I said, with the smarty I could start from a dead stop at the bottom of the hill and end up at the top way faster. lol
