Torque Tube Group Project ?
#16
I installed parts from airflow systems (90 degreeX2 elbows and a peice of 4" pipe)
With the silencer ring installed it really whines and I am thinking about putting the ring back in? All in all I think it is a rgeat project and cheap. I will replace the steel piece-w-polished stainless

ppsi are you saying that you do not have a silencer ring in place or you do have one in place?
I expected to leave my silencer ring in place because of the noise levels rising.
I have been doing some business research lately and have not had time to attend to the RAM projects.
I hope to get to this soon. Let me know how the system works out and if the noise level is acceptable with the silencer left in place.
Could you tell any performance gains from its installation?
I'm sorry I got side tracked in the middle of this project, but things have to be attended too. Jim

Sorry about the confusing post. I DO NOT have the ring in and I suppose I have gotten accustomed to the whine. I just ordered an under hood pad-w-clips (backordered) and I think this will make a good amt of difference inside the cab. All in all it seems to be great and just by seat of the pants feels slightly more responsive.
Now I have a quandry you all can help with. On Wed PM I am dynoing the truck. It is set-w-the EZ on #3 and I was going to make a run-w-this and then go to #4 to see the change. For $60..0 for two runs I am wondering if I should make the first-w-the old baffle and the second-w-the new air box to turbo "straight pipe". OPinions please.

ANyone made this setup for a '95? I'd like to put one together for mine once I get it home. I need to know what length of tube and what rubber boots I need. This will be hooked to my new AFE megacannon.
