Torque converter upgrade
Bought the truck used about a month and a half ago with the Banks six gun & speed loader.
Problems have shown up already, I have to put the thing in 4 wheel drive upon occasion to get her to move over small terain and dealership says it's the torque converter and you guessed it...$100 bucks for deductable Has anyone upgraded the torque converter like Banks suggests in the manual?? If so what is best and what is cost effective?

I may have the same prob. Bought my 05 with only 2400 miles a couple of months ago. It already had the Banks six-gun tuner installed. I just got the check eng light this weekend while towing a 25ft TT. The fault code indicates a TCC solenoid. Is my tranny toast already? Does the banks system void the factory warranty on my truck?

ICG, 2400 miles with a banks six gun?? I wonder what guy did to the truck with that six gun that he got rid of the truck so quick. You will definitely want to remove the six gun when you take it to the dealer.

I love the way my truck hooks up now! Best money I spent!
Good Luck!

Your trans shouldn't be having problems after only 2400 miles regardless of the box unless that mileage is 1/4 mile at a time!!! I'd pull the Six gun off and get it to the dealer....
