kind of a stab in the dark, but have you ever caliberated your throttle position sensor? The process where you cycle the key and slowly push the fuel pedal to the floor and back up?

I've got an 07 with the G56 and a 5.9, I had the same issue as you when I was using the smarty. Now I'm running EFILive and boy let me tell you, she isn't shy of power at any RPM range. She's pulls strong until I let off the throttle and my boost gets to around 40psi with stock turbo and fuel system(have a fass). With a smarty I had troubles getting to 140KM/H, now with the EFI I can get to 150 faster than I'd expect. Although when I had my smarty I also didn't have my 150 fass fuel pump.

update... with results!!!
On a whim today, I programed back to stock, and gave it a run... Screamed up too 100 mph where I backed out.... I then reset my programing and it went right back to the same problems I had before, a little more investigation, I found that 90% of the problems r caused by the POD settings, I was setting higher catcher levels, and turning it down with the POD to keep the clutch happy, I reset it again to level 2 on the TNT, at full power on POD and it came to life, but still falls on its face a little over 3200 rpm's even with the smarty set at 4K, but that could be lack of fuel, as I didn't have the data logger hooked up today, atleast its progress....
