Toolbox options? (under rail)>>>>
Hey guys,
I was looking for an under rail tool box. My truck came with the side rails installed and I really like them, so I need an under the rail toolbox.
I havn't been able to find one yet and was wondering if anybody on here knew about one, fitment etc....
thanks
PS: it's 2004 quadcab shortbed.

Here is my set up.The side boxes sit about an 1 1/2" above the bed rail, but with the rail tubes added you don't realy see it. I will be posting some more pictures, as soon as I get the decal and pin striping work finished. I just recentley had a custom paint job and bed liner done on mine. Instead of putting the 'RAM 2500' door badges back, I got the word 'FIRESTORM' done in flame like lettering. The guy at the body shop is looking for a flame type pin stripping to finish it off. Since this picture was taken, I have added a headache rack with rails.

I found some tool boxes that fit the rear behind the fenders...they have a locking door and you can configure the drwaer/trays which are on bal bearing rollers.
I have not got them yet but they are perfect for what I need.
Maybe too short for your needs?

Toss a PM to AGades on this site and see if he'd be willing to build you some custom boxes. He built me a set of almost full length under-rail boxes, with saddle bags behind the fenders. He does an amazing job, and the boxes work perfectly for a whole mess of tools, a jackall, booster cables, and the kitchen sink.

I purchased a Pro Tec. S/S piano hinge & locksets, good seal, heavy ga. aluminum, available in easy to wash/polish smooth finish. It costs more, but it should be the last box you ever have to buy.

Picked up a box at Home Depot. It sits in the bottom of the bed so it is about 19 inches high, 60 inches long, and about 20 inches wide. It sits up along the back of the cab like an across the bed box. The box is made by Husky and cost was $199. Had to ask if they had them as only the across the bed style was on display.
