too much boost?

i have had my truck since it was new and have always wanted to do some mods to it. so i did. i just installed the edge juice with attitude over the weekend. the truck is stock other than the edge. the truck runs great with a trailer and without. i was towing about 10,000lb over a mountain today, had it on level 2, and noticed my boost reach 45 psi sometimes more. would like to know how much boost the stock turbo can handle. is this to much boost or is it ok. appreciate any input

Its a little on the high side but as long as your egts are in check you should be ok. I would set your boost defuel at 42psi and the alert at 46psi. I would not take the stocker above that.

Yeah, that's a little high for the socker. Same problem that I have, but I'm working on the new turbo...

Hey JG,

Off topic, but where are you located in Charles Town?

I live in Charles Town as well.

Sorry to hijack your thread but this question might be related---When your EGT get up around 1300-1350 how do you reduce them except by reducing the rpm's? I also have an Edge that makes around 40# boost. When pulling my EGT often get to 1300-1350 before I have to back off. Have an AFE drop-in filter and a Magnaflow muffler on an 04 3/4 4x4 auto.
