tone ring mod or rokktech

I was thinking of doing the tone ring mod or buying a rokktech. My question is; will there be a noticable improvement in off the line performance, or will it barely be felt? I just put 35s on my truck and Im looking to get a little bit of my low end back without going to a programer. Thanks!

I didn't notice any performance improvement, but mileage went up ~ 1 mpg.

If you have no performace mods done to your truck. Your truck will feel like it did before you put those heavy tires on it. Thats the difference in power

Do both.

Did the sensor first....noticed little diference. Then did the tone ring. Noticed them together.

I did the TRM on my 03 and there was a big difference in off the line performance and I also got a 1 mpg gain. I put a Rokkteck on the 07 and the improvement is very minimal. I think I will need the TRM too unless I find a way to get more from the Rokktech....

I would not do both. I don't see the sense in it. You can achieve exactly what the Rokktech does with the Tone Ring mod. It is a no-cost mod. With the tone ring, you can go from under to over advancing the timing. I've spent a fair amount of time experimenting with this and adjusting the tone ring. You will feel a subtle bump in low-end, but may feel it stutter at high-end if you go too far. Milage is better in stop-and-go, but you will notice that the engine is louder at idle.
