TNT observations on 03-04 trucks
Alright guys, the hype was too much so I downloaded and ran the TNT. TM 4 timing 1 RP 3 sw 7. Compared to the 4.4 I am not really impressed, I've played with it, played with it, played some more but it just doesn't seem to like my truck like the 4.4. SW 5 of the 4.4 felt quite abit stronger than the TNT on 7. I also observed a pop today when I nailed it in 3rd, made me worry. 2nd gear takeoff is insane though! i don't understand, 2nd just takes off crazy, then 3rd through 6th it just feels dead now. Now I'm not knocking the TNT, but it just doesn't seem to acquaint to my truck right. The main thing I want is quick as possible spoolup, smoke is fine for me, but controllable. the 4.4 was just that for me. I have the MP-8 sitting by, just waiting for a good reason to install it. I've observed ppl say the top end feels stronger but not on my truck. I need some input guys, what should I do now?

Did you try Timing 2?
The pop is most likely from draining the rail.
I sucked mine dry today in 6th gear on level 3 during a WOT run. So I switched over to the Revo since I will be towing next weekend.

Yeah, I've tried everything but 4 on the RP. I don't understand the power difference, it feels like I'm back at 3.11 moderate again....I think I'm going back to 4.4 if I can. 4.4 pulls much stronger and uses less throttle doing it, but no pops or issues. I've seen tcr had some issues similar to mine besides transmissions, It doesn't feel like TNT but I know I downloaded the right program...

Bummer....
BTW, got the Daystar installed today. Hard to believe but the truck rides smoother now. Guessing from the extra cushion and not hitting the jounce bumpers.

Try the 0-default setting for timing when using odd sw's. If I understand correctly that will give the most advanced timing. That was the only setting that I noticed a slight rattle on. Also felt the most powerful for me.
I am loading 4.4 back up right now. I can drain the rail on every setting on TNT and sw9 on the REVO. Never had any problems with 4.4.

Draining the rail might be the problem. If you can't maintain RP then you can't get the full potential of the tnt.Loss of RP will send the power levels down.I can honestly say the TNT is the best running tune I have tried to date.My truck feels so strong I can't get over it.Broke traction in 4th today not even trying to!Maybe the tnt is asking for more than the stock sticks and cp-3 can provide. Those parts are mentioned in the required upgrades.

Yea I just think you need to upgrade a little more fuel to actually benefit this tune.. My fuel system in going on and parts are getting ordered asap so I can somewhat benefit and run this to full potential

Maybe it is just something that has to do with the 03-04 injectors or fuel system. I KNOW my truck is a lot more powerful all over with the TNT. I have not tried 4.4 yet but the way it runs now I cant see how it can be topped. I cant smash it in 4th gear anymore and that was always my test gear for power, the rear just lights up with boost. I just wish the pedal wasnt so touchy and it didnt smoke like a train over 5% throttle with everything set to kill.

4.4 was my favorite program until TNT. The TNT just rocks all the way around and the gauges tell the story. I used to run 4.4 on sw 7 as it was the strongest for me. When I went to TNT I had to lose the Walbro (went to 200gph FASS) and upgraded the CP3 (Floor it stage 3). After I did that TNT came alive!! I think you simply have to have the other upgraded stuff to fully realize TNT potential. The only thing I can say about the TNT that is not completely positive is that it does drop off the power around 3800 (even though I am revving to 4000+ no problem. I currently run TNT on sw1 to sw3 until the new turbos arrive. I could run 4.4 all day long towing on sw7 and see 1350* max. Now on TNT sw3 I can see 1600* empty in a hurry... so the extra fueling is there, you have to be able to utilize it and TNT won't be for everyone.
