They will fit under stock suspension, but after some miles on the suspension they start to rub on the control arms occasionally. That's mounted on the factory rims.

When talking 33's, 35's etc.. what is the way to make sure you use the right rim width?

stock wheel width thru 10" wide wheel will fit your average width tire- ones ending in 70/17 (metric) or 11.50 or 12.50x17 (floatation size).
