Timing

Is the injection timing done mostly by the timing sensor on the tone ring or by the ECM?
How far advanced is the timing on a 04 stock motor? And does the ECM advance it more as RPMs increas or is it constant?

The ECM does control the timing. How much timing, I don't know. The timing varies due to inputs from the sensors.
The modified crankshaft sensor or the tone wheel mod changes the static timing.
