sounds a lot more like the output shaft between the overdrive unit and the transfer case to me..... when you get it apart and start wondering how the heck to get the chunk left in the transfer case out, grab your drill and a high speed bit, about a 3/16th is good, drill into the snapped end that is in the transfer case section about a half to 3/4rs of an inch. take bit out of drill and by hand put it back into the hole you drilled, apply a slight sideways presure and then pull, the chunk should come right out. take overdrive unit to tranny shop to get it rebuilt, there is a ***** heavy duty spring in there and should only be dealt with on a rig setup and run by someone who knows how. get back to us on how you made out.

Soulezoo, how much do you figure your truck weighs? I thought for sure 800 HP will put any non mega cab into the 11's. Your truck is very very fast, just wondering how much a daily driven 04 weighs.

Hi all.. the truck weighs in about 7600 on the conservative side.
The mechanic has the truck... AAA tows to nearest shop that just happens to be my mechanic anyway. He's doing it... my bad on the shaft... it was the output from the tranny not transfer case.. what left the question was the harmonic balancer on the driveline was FUBARed and hanging off that xfer case output...
Stix are Flux 3. Chargers are custom BB twins from Peak Diesel Performance... Boost between 65-75 depending on fueling. I have had them up to 85 a couple of times... youch!
