Tim Barber 924 and 949 HP on Diesel

After the larger turbo blew up a few weeks back when it made 970, the manufacturer decided to try something else so in the mean time Tim bolted his old turbo set up back on.

A HTT 64 over a 480 built by Nathan @ MPI.

He got down to David Dunbars dyno this weekend and made 924 HP on Diesel only and with pure water injection made 949 HP.

The mods are as follows:

Smarty Level 9
TST on 2/0
F1 Flux 6.2 Injectors
MPI 64/480 Turbos
PPE dual CP3's
F1 Helix 2 Cam
F1 Pro/Sportsman Valve Springs

To show that power can be made without pressure added. No pressure boxes, etc were used.

This was his 04 truck with the 555 engine and his hard work getting all the work done!!

I think the most amazing thing is the truck is a 555 and the bottom turbo is a 480! I think we found the upper limits of the 480 size turbo.

With those stix...mileage isn't even on the menu...although it will probably be fine...I'm still waiting for Tim and Don to keep going on the R&D it has been awesome advances in a short time...When they hit 1000hp...I'll have my brand new injectors sitting at Don's made in the meanest Flus 7.00 not to be confused with 007. With the 3.3's and my big set up I went from just over 18 to just over 17...The performance difference was worth it at the time...depends how much you are gonna drive a year....17k miles versus 18k miles is 2 tanks of fuel per year...who cares except the Sierra Club and al gore. I use wood heat in my house so that I can burn more diesel in my truck. KS
