Threw A p0514 Code
I started my truck and let it idle for a couple minutes. Outside temp was about 65*. Went down the road about 1 mile, at about 30 mph, truck was running fine. Got to a light, stopped, light changed so I eased through the turn, all of a sudden truck felt like it ran out of fuel and just died. Coasted off the road and turned the key off. Started it up and it died. Let it sit for a few seconds, Started right up and ran fine. I pulled into a parking lot and unplugged my quad tow box and put the bypass plug in. Pulled a p0514 code on it. Started truck and all was fine. The check engine light was not on. Went on in to town and back home and truck is running fine. I followed a few threads a while back on this battery sensor thread. Was wondering if anyone has seen this code without running a box. Just trying to see if maybe my quad tow box could cause this p0514 code. Does anyone know if there is a fix for it?
Thanks

The 0514 seems to be a mystery. SOme people never know they get it and it causes some people grief?
I would think if it caused your truck to run bad or die then you may have some sort of voltage problem. With that said if the voltage got too bad you woul dhvae more codes than just that?
Unfortunately the dealers cannot help you and I amnot sure they are ever going to fix it. OUr 2005 truck always has the 0514 and our 2006 has never had it? Go figure.
